As a Medical Assistant, you will be a part of the Clinical Care Team engaging with our patients to develop lifelong well-being and health. The Medical Assistant role makes a difference in the patient care we offer and assists physicians and other clinicians by providing a unique blend of skills and knowledge to carry out prescribed medical treatment. Medical Assistants are multiskilled health professionals responsible for performing administrative and clinical tasks in our primary care facilities while delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining positive patient engagement.

As a Medical Assistant, you will report to the Clinical Administrator and/or Center Administrator and work closely with Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, and clinical staff to deliver high-quality patient care and support efficient clinic operations. You will assist with patient intake, discuss symptoms, obtain vital signs, administer medications and vaccines (as permitted by certification), perform phlebotomy, collect specimens, and conduct diagnostic screenings. You will also prepare and maintain exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR). Success in this role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and a patient-first mindset. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities while helping ensure a positive experience for patients and providers.

  • This role is considered patient facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB

Preferred

  • Certified or Registered – (Arizona, Indiana, & South Carolina candidates require Medical Assistant Certification or Registration)
  • Phlebotomy experience
  • Medication/vaccine administration experience
  • 1+ years MA experience
  • Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish - must pass proficiency exam prior to foreign language communication

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

Department Urgent Care Center_STA Job Summary The Urgent Care Medical Assistant assists in the management of patient care and coordinates patient flow to ensure care is delivered safely effectively and efficiently, while providing direct and indirect assistance to the patient and physician, and serving as a liaison between the facility, physician, insurance company and other healthcare agencies. Required Qualifications - Require current/active Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant credential. Preferred Qualifications - Prefer a minimum of one (1) year clinical experience in an Urgent care Center or Ambulatory/Outpatient setting. - Prefer demonstrated computer literacy with windows-based programs. - Prefer demonstrated effective communication skills and the ability to handle difficult customers or situations. - Prefer demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology. - Prefer previous college or vocational training. - Prefer the ability multi-task, prioritize duties and demonstrate initiative and self-direction.
