Position Summary
Saint Anthony Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Oncology Nurse Practitioner to join our established oncology program in Rockford, Illinois. This advanced practice provider will collaborate closely with oncologist, three advances practice providers, infusion nurses, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary care teams to provide high-quality, evidence-based care for adult oncology patients.

Position Highlights
- Full-time opportunity with a collaborative oncology team
- Primarily outpatient oncology practice setting
- Manage and support patients through all phases of cancer treatment
- Comprehensive multidisciplinary support including nursing, pharmacy, nutrition, social work, and palliative care
- Opportunity to participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient education programs
- Occasionally outreach to patients in our Mendota and Dixon communities
- Weekly coverage and oversight in our infusion clinic
- Schedule is M- F, no weekends or holidays
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, histories, and physical examinations
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising oncologists
- Manage patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, and supportive treatments
- Monitor treatment response, toxicities, and disease progression
- Order, interpret, and communicate laboratory and diagnostic test results
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, symptom management, and survivorship care
- Coordinate care with specialists, primary care providers, and ancillary services
- Provide symptom management and supportive oncology care
- Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently within the electronic medical record
- Participate in quality, safety, and patient satisfaction initiatives

- Clinical base hourly pay range for this position: $60.39-73.68
- Range shown should be used as an estimate and can be impacted by many factors including but not limited to the critical need of the position, overall experience and qualifications, community need, and other considerations. Additional compensation components may be applicable such as bonuses or incentives which may or may not be based on metric achievement.

Required
- Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- One year of advanced practice provider experience
- Current Illinois Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure or eligibility
- Current DEA registration or ability to obtain
- Eligible for hospital credentialing and privileging
