Staff Nurse - IRL Procedure Float (80 - 100%)

The University of Iowa Health Care - Iowa River Landing is seeking a highly motivated Staff Nurse (RN) that will have the opportunity to work in various clinical areas throughout the building. Our nurses will have an opportunity to work in Procedures, Infusions, and CT.

Characteristic Duties And Responsibilities

  • Apply nursing theory to assess, diagnose, treat and evaluate patient responses.
  • Develop patient care plan based on observations and assessments and recommend interventions to attain expected outcomes.
  • Collaborate and integrate information from patient and family into multidisciplinary patient care plan and evaluate responses.
  • Evaluate the quality of nursing care provided by other staff members.
  • Responsible and accountable for the provision of care for patients.
  • Maintain patient rights and confidentiality and serve as a patient advocate.


Percent of Time: 80-100% (32-40 hours/week)

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 5:30pm, no late shifts, and no Saturday rotation

Location: Iowa River Landing

Salary: $49,426 minimum at 80% effort to commensurate. Salary will vary based on years of experience and percent of effort.*

Education And Certification Requirements

  • An Associate’s degree in Nursing, Diploma in Nursing, Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, or Master’s degree in Nursing (MNHP or MSN) is required.
  • A current license to practice nursing in Iowa is required by the date of hire.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.


Desirable Qualifications

  • Triage Nursing Experience
  • Ambulatory Clinic Experience
  • 1 years' experience as a nurse
