Job Summary: In collaboration with the Service Line Director, the Clinical Nurse Manager accountability for the 24 hour day-to-day management of clinical nursing practice and patient care delivery, the management of human, fiscal and other resources, the development of personnel, compliance with regulatory and professional standards, unit strategic planning and the fostering of interdisciplinary collaborative relationships within the Department and the organization as a whole. A Nursing Leadership role focused upon the daily operations of their respective assigned areas in order to achieve safe and effective patient care delivery, service excellence, accreditation, financial responsiveness and patient care satisfaction. Consistently models excellence in patient care and service excellence and contributes to unit leadership at a high level of proficiency. About Us: The Pediatric Cardiac Cath/Electrophysiology Lab and Interventional Radiology/Perianesthesia Imaging unit at Valley Children’s Hospital offers services for infants, children and adolescents with congenital and acquired heart disease and is part of the larger Perioperative team. This unit services patients coming to the Cardiac Cath/Electrophysiology Lab, Interventional Radiology, and an Imaging modality that requires anesthesia for the Imaging procedure to be completed (MRI, CT, Nuclear Medicine, etc.). The Cath Lab features fully digital and completely computerized equipment, making it one of the most technologically advanced laboratories in the United States. This unit employs Registered Nurses, Perioperative Coordinators as well as Special Procedures, Patient Care and Cardiovascular Technicians. Each division works to provide their team with advancement opportunities that encourage self-development, offer process improvements, and ultimately work to improve outcomes for our patients. Job Summary: This position is accountable for managing the overall operations of a defined patient care unit during an assigned shift. The incumbent is accountable for monitoring, evaluation, and directing patient care provided by staff, coordinating activities of the patient care unit, making staff assignments and assisting with the development and evaluation of staff members.
