We are currently searching for a CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA) – MEDICAL TECH (MED TECH)    to work in the Assisted Living Center. In this role, the Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for providing assigned residents with routine daily nursing care in accordance with nursing care procedures and as directed by supervisor. Preserve residents’ dignity, honor resident rights, provide good customer service, communicate appropriately, and adhere to federal and state compliance regulations. Support residents in maintaining independence by observing and documenting self-administration of medications, ensuring compliance with prescribed regimens and safety protocols. This position reports to the Director of Assisted Living.

Schedule: Part-time positions, 7.5-16 hours per week, Monday – Days vary Sunday-Saturday, Every Other Weekend, 2nd Shift

This position is responsible for:

  • Assist patients/residents with Daily Living Activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transfer, ambulation, toileting and other resident needs.
  • Ensure the following tasks are completed daily: beds are made; trash has been removed
  • from the room, that meals are served to residents and maintain a high level of hygiene in the room.
  • Observe and document residents’ self-administration of medications, ensuring compliance with prescribed regimens and promptly reporting any irregularities or concerns to the nurse
  • Take and record vital signs; report any changes in resident conditions to the nurse.
  • Practice Infection Prevention and Control measures in compliance with Federal, State and Facility requirements.
  • Document care and observations accurately and completely in ECS flowsheets.
  • Conduct routine rounds to ensure safety equipment is in place and functioning.
  • Provide timely incontinent care and reposition residents to prevent skin breakdown.
  • Assist the Activities Department in engaging residents in planned activities.

Qualifications:

  • Active State of Florida Certified Nursing Assistant license
  • Medical Technician Certification (Required)
  • Active CPR certification
  • Active First Aid certification
  • Experience working with older adults in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Minimum of 6 months experience desirable
