The nurse extern must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit. Potential exposure to hazard materials/situations to include but not limited to, blood-borne pathogens, ionizing radiation, and communicable diseases. Qualifications Job Requirements: High School Diploma or GED equivalent Must be enrolled in an Accredited Nursing Program with an anticipated completion from program within 24 months from date of hire. Must be currently enrolled and in good academic standing in a professional nursing program BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
