Physician Practice Assistant - LPN-Internal Medicine

Monday-Friday 8am- 5pm

We’re seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Practice Operations team. In this role, you’ll provide general and specialized nursing care under the direction of the attending physician and supervision of the Office Manager. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring patients receive timely, professional, and compassionate care. 

 Key Responsibilities 

  • Record patient medical history, medications, and vital signs accurately using EHR 
  • Carry out provider orders and deliver nursing care based on patient needs and care plans 
  • Monitor patient progress and report side effects or concerns 
  • Educate and counsel patients and families on procedures, diagnoses, and care needs 
  • Administer medications and injections under provider direction 
  • Maintain high standards of documentation and communication 

 Qualifications 

  • Education: Completion of an accredited LPN program 
  • Experience: Family Practice nursing experience preferred 
  • Licensure/Certification: 
  • Current LPN license in Maryland or a Compact state with Multi-State Privilege 
  • Current BLS (CPR) certification 
  • Skills: 
  • Compassionate application of nursing standards 
  • Strong organizational and communication skills 
  • Basic computer proficiency 

 Physical & Mental Requirements 

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 50 lbs) 
  • Fine hand-eye coordination and hearing acuity 
  • Ability to concentrate on detail, remember multiple tasks, and communicate effectively 
  • Exposure to blood, body fluids, chemicals, and temperature fluctuations
