Nurse Practitioner - Hospitalist Day (Part-Time)

Working independently and in collaboration with Physicians, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible to deliver care and integrate patient services with the goal of achieving specific clinical, financial and satisfaction outcomes for specific patient populations and disease processes. Coordinates with patient's healthcare team. Adheres to ethical principles of practice as defined by the Nurse Practice Act and the ANA code of ethics for nurses. Delivers healthcare in a therapeutic and professional manner demonstrating sensitivity towards unique patient/significant other needs. Preserves and protects the patient's autonomy, dignity, rights, values, and beliefs. Demonstrates the ability to advocate for the patient/significant other. Minimum Qualifications: Education - Masters in Nursing required. Doctorate Degree in Nursing Preferred. Completion of a Certified Nurse Practitioner program. Experience - Five years experience as a Registered Nurse. One year experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferred. Licensure/Certification - License to practice as Nurse Practitioner in the State of Maryland required. Current DEA Registration and CDS permit required. Current BLS (CPR) in compliance with policy required. ACLS and PALS (if applicable) in compliance with policy required. For Wound Center only, ACLS in compliance with policy required. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Demonstrates critical thinking, extensive clinical competence and expertise. Demonstrated ability to work well with all disciplines at all levels. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills. Fluency in coding, ICD-10 and CPT, or commitment to acquire. Will have EHR computer access. Nurse Practitioner - TACS (PRN)

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Trauma Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic Trauma and Acute Care Surgery team. In this fast-paced role, you will provide exceptional care to patients with acute and critical injuries, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team in our busy Level III Trauma Center. The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, demonstrates advanced clinical skills, and is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities Manage trauma and emergency general surgery admissions and consults Perform daily rounding on patients Write progress notes and coordinate follow-up care Efficiently plan and coordinate patient discharges Perform procedures including central line placement and chest tube insertion Collaborate closely with trauma surgeons, emergency physicians, and the broader healthcare team Requirements Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (Master’s required; Doctorate preferred) Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification strongly preferred Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in trauma, critical care, emergency, or acute care surgery (highly desirable) Active Maryland Nurse Practitioner license and current RN license National board certification as a Nurse Practitioner Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required Strong procedural skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, team-oriented environment Our Culture At Meritus, we foster a collaborative and caring environment where every interaction is an opportunity to learn, listen, and support one another. Certified Nurse Midwife

The Midwife is responsible for all aspects of OB care for patients of the Women's Health Center. The Midwife is responsible for shift coverage in Meritus Medical Center Birthing Center, managing the laboring patients, including unattached patients presenting through the ED. The Midwife is also responsible for Gynecological Care, providing care related to both acute and chronic conditions, making appropriate referrals, providing patient education and ensuring patients are treated with concern and respect. Minimum Qualifications: Education - Graduate of an accredited midwifery program. Such program must be approved by American College of Nurse-Midwives. Experience - Previous experience as a certified midwife preferred. New graduates considered. Licensure/Certification - Currently licensed to practice in Maryland or be able to obtain a Maryland license. BLS (CPR) in compliance with policy. Application must be made for medical staff membership and clinical privileges at Meritus Health. Midwife shall at all times be a member in good standing of the Medical Staff of the Medical Center. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Knowledge of current OB/GYN practice benchmarks and protocals. Able to independently perform all OB/GYN care within scope of license.
