Sampson Regional Medical Center is hiring a Practice Nurse to join the Practice Management team!

 

Description:
The Practice Nurse assists in the management of patient care provided in the practice. Coordinates patient flow and ensures care is delivered safely, effectively, and efficiently. Interviews patients and takes medical history, gives injections, completes lab x-ray requests, keeps charts current and screens calls within the practice/provider's guidelines. Administers prescribed medications and performs simple treatment as directed by the provider. The Practice Nurse duties are performed within framework of Sampson Regional Medical Center policies and procedures and current professional standards. Transitions between practices and performs other duties as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma required
  • Currently licensed by the Board of Nursing as an LPN or graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program and be credentialed as a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant required.
  • Current BLS certification required and ACLS preferred
  • Previous physician office or healthcare setting desired
  • Must demonstrate proficiency and knowledge of Electronic Medical Record documentation in accordance with Meaningful Use objectives
  • Competent in EKG testing, blood draws and injections
  • Ability to maintain the strictest patient confidentiality
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities at once with minimal supervision

 

Hours:

This is a full-time position working 32 - 36 hours per week.
