As a clinical nurse in psychiatric patient services, you'll play a vital role in delivering comprehensive, age-appropriate assessments, developing personalized care plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions that support both patients and their families. What you'll do
- Conducts continuous, age-appropriate assessments of each patient, considering medical, social, cultural, and educational history to inform care decisions.
- Delivers evidence-based, patient-centered care based on individualized treatment plans, while prioritizing safety and responding effectively to emergencies.
- Develops and adjusts holistic care plans with input from patients, families, and the healthcare team, ensuring smooth transitions and appropriate discharge planning.
- Accurately documents all aspects of care, including assessments, interventions, patient responses, and education to support quality and continuity.
- Shares complete, timely, and clear information with team members and actively listens to ensure mutual understanding.
- Supports unit operations through participation in shared decision-making, mentorship, and charge nurse responsibilities, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Maintains a safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols, managing supplies efficiently, and demonstrating flexibility to meet unit needs.
Required qualifications
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Non nursing Bachelors Degree with Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Current unencumbered licensure to practice nursing as a registered nurse in the state of Oregon
- 1 year of RN staff nurse experience
