School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Jersey City, New Jersey

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active, unrestricted RN license in New Jersey
• Previous experience as a school nurse or in a pediatric healthcare setting preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills
• Ability to communicate compassionately and effectively with students, families, and staff
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Proficiency in maintaining detailed, confidential health records

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care for illness, injury, and emergencies during the school day
• Administer medications and perform health procedures per student health plans
• Conduct health screenings, including hearing, vision, and scoliosis checks
• Monitor students with chronic conditions and collaborate with teachers and parents on their care
• Promote wellness and good hygiene practices throughout the school population
• Respond to communicable disease concerns and implement prevention protocols
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
