Assist with and perform emergency procedures, such as wound care, IV insertion, intubation, and CPR. Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other members of the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans. Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing clear explanations of care, procedures, and discharge instructions. Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, sharing observations and insights that contribute to patient care decisions. Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely documentation of all patient care activities in the electronic health record (EHR). Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards, including infection control and patient safety protocols. Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities, contributing to the ongoing enhancement of emergency care services. Patient Advocacy & Education: Serve as an advocate for patients, ensuring that their needs and preferences are respected throughout the care process. Provide education to patients and their families about their conditions, treatments, and follow-up care. Support patients in understanding and navigating their care, especially during times of crisis or uncertainty. Professional Development: Stay current with advances in emergency nursing by participating in continuing education, certifications, and professional development opportunities. Contribute to a positive work environment by mentoring and supporting less experienced nurses and students. Participate in department meetings, training sessions, and other activities that promote teamwork and continuous improvement. Qualifications: Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) is required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
