Located approximately 40 miles south of Portland, in the heart of Oregon's beautiful Willamette Valley, Legacy Silverton Medical Center serves the needs of the communities within Marion, Clackamas and Polk Counties and provides outstanding medical services that attracts patients from nearby large and rural communities. The town of Silverton itself offers a small town feel surrounded by abundant farmland, wonderful schools, and great restaurants. Opportunities for recreational activities include hiking, fishing, and biking.

 

The Women and Newborn Services’ six Family Birth Centers (FBCs) deliver safe, high quality, integrated, interdisciplinary health care across the continuum of services provided to the patients. The Silverton Medical Center Family Birth Center is located on the First floor of the Family Birth Center entrance. The Silverton Family Birth Center includes:

 

- 2 triage rooms- 16 LDRP- 1 OR- 1 expanded care newborn nursery

 

Responsibilities

Responsible for patient care within an assigned department/unit and participates as a member of the health care team in cooperation with and under the direction of the clinical manager or designee as defined by the relevant Standards and Scope of Practice for the Registered Nurse. The RN Staff Nurse assesses, analyzes, plans, implements and evaluates patient care following established patient care standards for Legacy Health System including those for patient assessment and transfer.

Qualifications

Education: 

As required by licensure.  BSN or degree in progress strongly preferred. BSN may be required for specific assignments; experienced RNs without a BSN may be hired based on clinical experience with approval of the site CNO.

 

Experience:

One-year registered nursing experience or completion of either the Legacy Health RN Residency program or a nursing program that is equivalent in content, curriculum and duration.  Additional clinical experience requirements may vary dependent upon the specific department in which the position is utilized.

 

Knowledge/Skills: 

  • Demonstrated ability of positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians and the community. 
  • Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.

 

Licensure

Current applicable state RN license required. AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers.

Pay Range

USD $54.37 - USD $81.21 /Hr.

RN Staff Nurse - Cardiac Stress Test

If so, we invite you to consider this opportunity. Responsibilities This position supports the Outpatient Cardiopulmonary Clinic and Nuclear Medicine. The Cardiac Stress Test RN provides professional nursing support and service for patients, functioning with a high degree of knowledge, skill and experience in cardiovascular care that is applied to achieve optimal outcomes through critical analysis, problem solving and decision making. The primary role of the Cardiac Stress Test RN is to supervise the administration of cardiac stress testing. Cardiac Stress test includes Exercise ECG Testing, Stress Echocardiography and Stress Radionuclide Cardiac Imaging To be successful in this role, the Cardiac Stress Test RN must: Competent performance of exercise testing requires significant cognitive knowledge and understanding of cardiac disease states. This includes knowledge of but not limited to: cardiovascular and exercise physiology, including hemodynamic response to exercise, appropriate indications, alternate physiological cardiovascular test, prompt recognition and response to complications. Establish and maintain effective relationships with health care team members across multiple disciplines and departments (i.e., nursing, rehab, pharmacy, imaging, ED, etc.) Prioritize work and effectively manage time with minimal supervision. Qualifications Education: As required by licensure. BSN or degree in progress strongly preferred. The Vascular Access Nurse provides consultation for providers and nurses for the most appropriate vascular access device based on patient assessment and the treatment plan. Places vascular access devices such as: peripheral intravenous catheters (PIV), Peripheral Inserted Central Catheters (PICC), Midline catheters and Intra-osseous catheters. Accesses and de-accesses implanted ports. Assesses and manages central venous access devices including routine dressing changes, cap changes and intervenes to maintain patency of central venous access devices. Serves as a resource for the health care team in the intravenous access, placement, management, and patient/family education for care and maintenance. Service area is both inpatient and outpatient. Qualifications Education: As required by licensure. BSN or degree in progress strongly preferred.
