Maintain reliable telephone communication. Respond promptly to scheduling messages. Notify the office immediately if an emergency affects attendance. Follow all call-off procedures. Clock in and out from the approved client location. Remain with the client until the scheduled end of the shift. Remain until properly relieved when continuous care is required. Never leave a client unattended when supervision is required. Never leave early without office authorization. Notify the office if a client or family asks them to arrive late, leave early or change the scheduled hours. Complete all required documentation before the end of the shift. Night and Overnight Shift Expectations Caregivers working night or overnight assignments must remain fully awake, alert and attentive throughout the entire shift. Clock in and out from the approved client location. Remain with the client until the scheduled end of the shift. Remain until properly relieved when continuous care is required. Notify the office if a client or family asks them to arrive late, leave early or change the scheduled hours. Complete all required documentation before the end of the shift. Failure to report for an accepted shift, leaving a client without authorization or failing to follow safety procedures may result in removal from the assignment or additional corrective action.
