Key Qualifications:

Active LPN certification and appropriate state licensure
Experience with 1:1 nursing care in a school or pediatric setting preferred
Skilled in suctioning and tube feeding procedures
Attention to safety, confidentiality, and clear documentation
Capable of collaborating with educators and other school-based professionals
Adaptability to step into a building-wide role if the primary student is absent

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver direct 1:1 nursing care for a student during school hours, with particular focus on suctioning and tube feeding needs
Act as a vigilant and patient partner, supporting the student’s daily participation and well-being within the classroom
Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team to maintain care continuity
Flexibly provide coverage for the school building’s nursing needs in the event the primary student is not present
There is no bus duty involved, as another nurse manages transportation-related care
Maintain accurate health records and comply with all school health protocols
