About the Role:

As a CNA Child Care Specialist, you'll have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children in your community. You'll provide in-home care and support to children with special needs, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met. This is a per diem position, allowing you to choose the hours that work best for you.

Responsibilities:

Provide in-home care and support to children with special needs, including feeding, bathing, dressing, and medication administration as needed
Assist with daily living activities, such as toileting, transferring, and ambulation
Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each child
Maintain accurate and detailed records of care provided, including medication administration and vital signs
Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and caregivers
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support
CNA Child Care Specialist will also provide overnight care and support as needed

Requirements:

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
High school diploma or equivalent required
1+ year of experience working with children with special needs (not required, but preferred)
Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition children with physical limitations
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable transportation and valid driver's license (if applicable)
CNA Child Care Specialist should be willing to travel to various locations in the Melbourne, Florida area
