Position Details

What You’ll Do as a Registered Nurse

As an RN, you will provide safe, compassionate nursing care within your scope of practice while ensuring resident needs are met in accordance with physician orders, professional standards, facility policies, and applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide and coordinate high-quality nursing care for residents.

  • Follow physician orders, care plans, and facility policies and procedures.

  • Monitor residents’ conditions and promptly report changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.

  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered and within your scope of practice.

  • Demonstrate knowledge and appropriate use of infection prevention and control procedures.

  • Participate in the facility’s Quality Improvement Program.

  • Utilize appropriate resident care programs and resources to promote quality of life.

  • Communicate resident updates to relevant departments, including room changes, leave of absence, new admissions, and discharges.

  • Provide education to residents and families regarding care, treatment, health needs, and safety.

  • Complete accurate and timely nursing documentation.

  • Collaborate with CNAs, nurses, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team.

  • Promote resident dignity, comfort, safety, and well-being.

  • Follow all applicable state, federal, local, and facility requirements.

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri.

  • Graduate of an approved nursing program.

  • Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.

  • Commitment to compassionate, resident-centered care.

  • Previous skilled nursing or long-term care experience preferred.

  • One year of prior nursing management experience preferred.
