Hospital Details

Vibra Hospital of Denver, located in Thornton, CO, is a 54 bed Critical Care Hospital providing acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Often our patients require additional critical care services for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation and ventilator weaning. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and friendly work environment where you really get to know your patients and their families.

Responsibilities

The RN develops, implements, evaluates and revises a plan of care of assigned patients and families while promoting the mission and values of Vibra Healthcare. The provision of care includes direct care along with the delegation and supervision of all nursing care in accordance with the applicable Nurse Practice Act. Specific components of the Registered Nurse role include demonstrating clinical competence; managing patient care; improving quality of care; establishing professional relationships and utilizing professional skills; fulfilling responsibilities of the role of the hospital; and developing clinical expertise per specialty.

 

Required Skills:

  • Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required.
  • Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required.
  • Current ACLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required within six (6) months of hire.

Additional Qualifications/Skills:

  • Previous acute care experience is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to project a professional image.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant. 
  • Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
  • Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace

Posted Total Compensation

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.  It’s not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  A reasonable estimate of the current range is $40.30 to $55.31

Shift Differentials: 
NOC - $5/hr on weekday nights, $8/hr on weekend nights

This unit is uniquely designed for individuals whose behavioral health challenges, combined with acute or chronic medical diagnoses, make them difficult to place in traditional psychiatric or medical settings. Patients on the IMAP unit may present with a wide range of medical concerns, including post-surgical recovery, cardiac abnormalities, sepsis, wound care, or other acute conditions—while also experiencing psychiatric diagnoses such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or severe depression. The unit's structure allows for close medical monitoring while simultaneously addressing behavioral health needs through a multidisciplinary team approach. With a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 / 1:5 and a CNA ratio of 1:6, the unit is staffed to support safe, effective, and compassionate care. The professional float nurse adheres to the American Nurses Association (ANA) standards of professional nursing and performance, and the ANA Code of Ethics to provide care to all healthcare consumers. Applies critical thinking, evidence-based practices and competence to collaborate with the health care team to promote excellence in healthcare consumer safety and quality outcomes.
