Job Description

Responsible for working with other healthcare professionals to help treat patients with various injuries, illnesses or disabilities. Monitors patients, administers medications, keeps records, consults with healthcare providers, educates patients and more.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Maintains accurate, complete health care records and reports.
  • Administers medications to patients and monitors them for side effects and reactions.
  • Prescribes assistive medical devices and related treatments.
  • Monitors, reports, and records symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
  • Assesses, implements, plans, or evaluates patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members.
  • Records patient vital signs and medical information.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • BLS certification.


Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
  • All ASN must complete their BSN studies within five years of their start date.
  • Master’s degree in nursing or related field.
  • 1+ year of experience in Nursing or relevant area.
  • ACLS certification.

Works collaboratively with the Center-led Staffing Department as needed to ensure staffing grids are met (as covered by this service) and optimize workforce deployment. 6. Support labor management strategies by collaboratively maximizing retention strategies and internal resource utilization and minimizing reliance on premium labor, verifying that staffing plans maintain quality, safety, and appropriate clinical expertise. 7. Monitors staffing trends and workforce metrics, validating and implementing data-driven recommendations to support informed staffing decisions and continuous workforce improvement. 8. Works collaboratively with physician dyads and all members of the healthcare team to promote patient care and regulatory standards. 9. Prioritizes recruitment and retention strategies in accordance with system and local hospital retention goals. 10. Implements and monitors unit salary and supply budgets, including capital equipment allocation according to MSHS financial goals. 11.
