Practice at the forefront of neurological and functional recovery inside a facility backed by prestigious clinical designations, including an official Texas DSHS Trauma Level III Center, a Joint Commission-certified Primary Stroke Center, and an accredited Chest Pain Center. Operating within our brand-new, state-of-the-art 23-bed Acute Rehabilitation Unit located inside the 100M North Patient Tower, you will collaborate closely with a dedicated multi-disciplinary team of physical, occupational, and speech therapists. To support this specialized service line, you will manage comprehensive, around-the-clock clinical care for complex populations recovering from strokes, amputations, brain injuries, joint replacements, and severe trauma. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organizations vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.

What You Will Do In Your Role:

You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for assigned patients.
You will be responsible for meeting the Standards of Practice for the Rehabilitation Unit and managing all assigned personnel, supplies, and equipment.
You will participate in activities to plan, measure, asses and improve the quality of patient care.
Instructs patients/families regarding the disease process.
You will be responsible for additional admission paperwork specific to the Rehabilitation Unit.
You will participate in weekly patient care conferences, as needed.
You will assume the responsibility of charging the unit, as needed.

What qualifications you will need:

Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing is required. BSN is preferred.
Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date).
Current BLS Certification are required.
1-year of clinical Rehabilitation, Neuro Stroke experience as a licensed RN required; will consider Med-Surg

Job Summary and Qualifications As an RN Trauma Performance Improvement (PI) Coordinator, you will lead the Trauma Program’s work to keep care safe and high‑quality from the time a patient arrives until they leave the hospital. You will work with the Trauma Medical Director and Trauma Program Director to review cases, analyze system performance, and use data to make changes that improve patient care. Your role ensures care meets national ACS standards, supports program requirements, and shows our commitment to providing safe, reliable, and high‑quality trauma care.
