Actual compensation offered in the Pay Range of $21.85- $32.80 for an MA or $24.10 - $36.15 for an LPN and will be based on factors such as qualifications, skills, relevant experience and/or training.



We’re Looking For:

Licensure or Certifications

  • LPN: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state in which the team member practices, and
  • MA: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 45 days unless department leader has determined it is not required.

Degrees:

  • GED or HS Equivalency Diploma.
  • LPN: Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Practical Nursing
  • MA: Completion of an accredited or approved program in Medical Assistant, or 2 years of verifiable full-time experience as a Medical Assistant within the last 5 years.

As a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse, you’ll play a vital role in the care team – supporting providers, connecting with patients, and helping ensure a seamless, compassionate experience every day. 

As a key member of the ambulatory care team, you will:

  • Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
  • Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
  • Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
  • Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
  • Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
  • Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
  • Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
  • Must be able to: push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
  • Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions.
  • Maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines.
  • Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed.
  • May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore, protective clothing and equipment must be worn as necessary.
  • Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
  • Physical Abilities Testing may be required.

Job Requirements: Completion of an accredited or approved program in Practical Nursing Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state in which the team member practices Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 45 days unless department leader has determined it is not required Key Responsibilities: Room patients, obtain vital signs, and update medical information. Collect specimens and perform basic laboratory testing using infection control standards. Assist providers with exams, procedures, and minor surgeries. Administer medications, immunizations, injections, and IV therapy as permitted. Educate patients and coordinate follow-up care, referrals, appointments, and prescription refills. Document patient information and communicate effectively with providers and care team members. Perform advanced clinical procedures such as EKGs, phlebotomy, spirometry, wound care, catheterization, and suture/staple removal, as trained and supervised. Prepare, clean, stock, and maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies. Perform equipment maintenance, sterilization, and quality checks. Support quality improvement, patient-centered care, and care management initiatives. Deliver age-appropriate care while assessing and addressing the unique needs of patients across the lifespan. Knowledge & Skills Required: Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills; ability to develop rapport and maintain positive, professional relationships with a variety of patients, staff and physicians. Excellent organization, prioritization and problem solving skills. Proficient computer skills including keyboarding, navigation within a windows operating system, and use of electronic mail with exposure to electronic medical records systems.
