Day shift opportunity with a typical 5:1 patient ratio
Approximately six weeks of orientation to support your transition and success

Schedule: Full-Time Days (36 hours/week)

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Department: General Medical Surgical Innovation Unit (Med/Surg II)

Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Every other or every third weekend rotation, plus holiday rotation requirements

Location: Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center

What You'll Do

As an RN on Medicine II, you’ll provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with a variety of medical needs, giving you the opportunity to strengthen your assessment, prioritization, and clinical decision-making skills.
- Assess, plan, coordinate, and deliver individualized nursing care
- Care for a diverse medical-surgical population with a broad range of diagnoses
- Collaborate with nurses, providers, and the interdisciplinary team to support safe, high-quality outcomes
- Use innovative technology and clinical tools designed to enhance patient care and nursing workflows
- Educate and support patients and families throughout their hospital stay
- Participate in rotating weekends and holidays with no on-call requirement

What We're Looking For

Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.
Licensure/certification/registration: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
