Our Surgical Department is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Perioperative RN / Charge RN to join our talented team of medical professionals. The charge nurse is responsible for coordinating daily operations within the pre-operative, post-operative, and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. This role provides clinical leadership, supports staff, facilitates patient flow, assists with staffing and patient assignments, and serves as a resource for physicians, anesthesia providers, nurses, and other multidisciplinary team members. The charge nurse promotes regulatory compliance, patient safety, teamwork, and effective communication while maintaining standards of care throughout the perioperative patient experience. The Charge Nurse may provide direct patient care as needed and assist with problem-solving, conflict resolution, and operational oversight to support departmental goals and organizational objectives.

Salary Range: $54.00 - $76.99* (depending on experience) plus differential pay. Additionally, call standby and call-back receive an hourly rate and time and one-half times, respectively, applied to these hours.  

What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate daily patient flow in Pre-Op and PACU areas. 

  • Assign and oversee nursing care based on patient acuity and staff competency. 

  • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for staff. 

  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and support departments to optimize day-to-day patient care and surgical schedules. 

  • Monitor compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards. 

  • Assist with staffing, scheduling adjustments, and daily operational decision-making. 

  • Address patient, family, and staff concerns in a professional and timely manner. 

  • Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. 

What You’ll Need

  • Previous OR experience required. 

  • An active RN license with current required and maintained BLS, ACLS, & PALS certificates. 

  • CNOR certified or other Perioperative certified positions are encouraged. Such related certifications or degrees above 2-year nursing education pays additional differentials.

Wound RN

Summary Occasionally JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE Provides treatment based upon established plan of care for patients with wounds, fistulas, percutaneous tubes, ostomies, incontinence, and actual or potential skin breakdown. DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION Samaritan Wound Care treats acute or chronic wounds caused by diabetes, surgery, injury, poor blood flow and/or other problems. The scope of practice is physician driven and centered around wound, ostomy and continence care while maintaining additional adjunctive therapies such as vein medicine and hyperbaric medicine. EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS Current unencumbered Oregon RN licensure required. Healthcare Provider Level BLS required. BSN preferred. Related certification in Wound Care preferred.
