Bring your caregiving experience into a leadership role.
Right at Home Folsom Lake is a locally owned, veteran-owned home care agency supporting seniors and adults with disabilities. We’re looking for an experienced caregiver who enjoys helping people, stays organized, and is ready to take on more responsibility.
This position combines hands-on caregiving with caregiver interviews, orientation, training, personnel records, and everyday office support. You’ll work directly with the owner and our scheduling team to help clients receive dependable care and give caregivers the support they need to succeed.
Some days you’ll be interviewing applicants or leading orientation. Other days you’ll introduce a caregiver to a new client, conduct a supervisory visit, or step in to cover a call-out. Providing backup client care is an essential part of this position.
What you’ll do
Support clients and caregivers
Cover caregiver call-outs and urgent staffing gaps during designated coverage hours.
Provide personal care, companionship, and assistance with daily activities according to each client’s care plan.
Conduct warm handoffs by meeting caregivers at clients’ homes, making introductions, and reviewing routines and care needs.
Conduct nonclinical supervisory visits to check on client satisfaction, observe caregiver performance, and communicate concerns to management.
Coach caregivers on care plans, documentation, communication, and company expectations.
Help hire and train our team
Conduct caregiver interviews and provide hiring recommendations.
Coordinate and lead new-hire orientation.
Help train caregivers and identify where additional coaching is needed.
Follow up with new hires to help them feel prepared and supported.
Keep the office organized
Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential personnel files.
Track required documentation, training, and expiration dates, and follow up on missing items.
Answer phones professionally and assist clients, families, caregivers, and applicants.
Work with the scheduling team to communicate staffing changes and client needs.
Assist with data entry, scanning, filing, supplies, and other day-to-day office tasks.
What we’re looking for
At least two years of hands-on caregiving experience preferred.
Willingness and ability to provide direct personal care and cover shifts when needed.
Dependability, sound judgment, and a calm approach when plans change.
Strong organization and follow-through, including attention to confidential records.
Clear, friendly communication and the ability to coach others respectfully.
Comfort using email, Microsoft Office, electronic records, and scheduling software.
Reliable transportation for local client visits; a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance if driving for work.
Ability to meet applicable California Home Care Aide registration, background clearance, TB clearance, and training requirements before providing client care.
Ability to perform essential job duties, with reasonable accommodation as needed.
Experience interviewing, orienting, or training caregivers is a plus. Familiarity with WellSky or Apploi is helpful.
Schedule and coverage
This role includes both office work and visits to client homes throughout our service area. You must be comfortable adjusting priorities and stepping away from office tasks to provide client care when needed. Specific work hours and any evening or weekend coverage responsibilities will be established before hire.
Opportunity to grow
As our agency grows, this role may develop into an Office Manager position based on performance, demonstrated leadership, and business needs. We’re looking for someone who wants to learn, take ownership of their work, and grow with our team.
To apply
Submit your resume and a brief note about your caregiving experience and why you’re interested in a role that combines client care with office responsibilities.
