Job Summary and Qualifications

Under general supervision the Staff RN provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures of Medical Center of Lewisville. In collaboration with patient, patient’s family and other members of the health care team, the clinical RN is responsible for assessing the nursing care needs of patients, planning interventions and evaluating outcomes of care. The RN provides direct care and/or supervises patient care provided by other department staff. The RN is responsible for providing care consistent with the Nursing Department’s policies, procedures and standards of practice.

RN’s are responsible for providing care, which is appropriate to the age specific (adolescent, adult and geriatric patients), developmental and safety needs of the assigned patient population. In addition to the RN duties and responsibilities, the RN scope includes charge duties. The charge nurse makes patient assignments and supervises and directs the staff and unit activities for the assigned shift.


What qualifications you will need:


  • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
  • NRP certification within 3 months of hire into position
  • (RN) Registered Nurse
  • Associate Degree Required, BSN preferred
  • Must have a minimum of one year recent nursing experience in a Labor & Delivery Setting

Medical City McKinney SEASONAL PACU RN PRN rate: 60/hour Seasonal program runs from 9/20/26-4/3/27 PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS All seasonal RNs are required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period. Within a close geography, you may be asked to float to another facility that has an emergent staffing need. Four (4) weekend shifts are required each 4 week schedule period. During the course of the 32-week period, the employee is required to work two (2) holiday shifts (defined by Department Manager or designee). Seasonal Staff are PRN status employees and are subject to first call-off. There are no guaranteed hours by the hospital.
