Position OverviewPrime Healthcare Illinois Medical Group is seeking a dedicated and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our growing Gastroenterology team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a collaborative, patient-focused group while enjoying a balanced schedule and supportive work environment.Highlights of the Role• Single-Site Role: Work at St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin, IL• Collaborative Team Environment: Work alongside experienced gastroenterologists and support staff• State-of-the-Art Facilities with advanced GI diagnostic and treatment capabilities

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive GI care alongside a multidisciplinary team of physicians and support staff.
  • Conduct initial assessments, follow-ups, and manage outpatient follow-up visits.
  • Assist with procedures and ensure continuity of care.
  • Collaborate closely with attending gastroenterologists to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Participate in care coordination, documentation, and patient education.

Qualifications

  • Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) licensed in Illinois.
  • Strongly preferred: 1+ year of experience in Gastroenterology medicine.
  • Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a cohesive medical team.
  • EMR proficiency (experience with Epic is a plus).
