School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) | Marysville, Ohio

Embark on a fulfilling contract role as a dedicated 1:1 Registered Nurse supporting students in a school setting near Marysville, OH. Your expertise and compassion as an RN will play a vital role in ensuring students receive the specialized medical attention they require during their school day.

This opportunity starts as a part-time assignment for October through December, offering coverage 1-2 days per week from 8:00 am to 12:15 pm. In January, your impact will grow as the need expands to 5 days per week, with the same morning schedule. You’ll work closely with school teams and families, gathering and responding to each student’s medical needs, and play a part in assessing opportunities for expanding service hours.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Active, unencumbered RN license in Ohio
  • Previous pediatric or school-based nursing experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to provide compassionate, individualized care to students in a school environment
  • Skilled in collaborating with educators, support staff, and families
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
  • Clear communication and record-keeping skills
  • CPR/BLS certification (current)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1:1 medical support to a designated student throughout the assigned school hours
  • Administer medication, manage medical devices, and respond swiftly to acute health needs
  • Monitor, document, and communicate changes in the student’s condition to appropriate school or clinical contacts
  • Assist school staff by gathering crucial medical information for care planning
  • Participate in team meetings to advocate for and refine student care plans
