Kindly Direct Care, a New Jersey preferred DDD agency, is seeking a compassionate and dependable Care Companion to provide one-on-one support to an adult with ASD or another disability. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the life of an individual, providing encouragement, companionship, and individualized support.

About the Role

As a Care Companion, you will provide personalized support tailored to each individual's interests, strengths, and goals. You will accompany them to community activities, restaurants, shopping, parks, movies, recreational programs, and local events, while encouraging participation in hobbies, fitness, and social opportunities. You will also assist with daily living skills, organization, and time management, and provide guidance on goal setting and achieving.

Responsibilities

Accompany individuals to community activities, restaurants, shopping, parks, movies, recreational programs, and local events
Encourage participation in hobbies, fitness, and social opportunities
Provide guidance with organization, time management, and goal setting
Support daily living skills as needed while encouraging independence
Complete accurate service documentation
Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and other members of the support team

Qualifications · Comfort providing hands-on personal care when required by the assignment. · Patient, respectful, dependable, and attentive to health and safety. · Ability to follow detailed support instructions and communicate concerns promptly. · Ability to complete required background checks, onboarding, and training. · Prior DSP, HHA, CNA, PCA, home care, behavioral health, disability-services, or direct-care experience is preferred for higher-support assignments. · Reliable transportation and driving credentials when required by the assignment. Schedule & Compensation Part-time and full-time assignments may be available. Schedule, location, support needs, and pay vary by assignment. Higher-support or specialized cases may carry a higher assignment-specific rate. About This Opportunity This can be a great fit for a college student, educator, human-services professional, caregiver, or someone looking for meaningful part-time work.
