Responsibilities

  • Meal plan and preparation for those who need it
  • Companionship and maybe light housekeeping
  • Follow a care plan to provide the best possible care under the direction of an RN
  • Communicate with the local branch

Qualifications

What qualifications should you have?
  • Professionalism inside and out, great attendance, and the desire to help!
  • Experience in personal care/homemaking is preferred, but it’s not required! We’ll train you.
  • You should be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
  • You need reliable transportation, our clients depend on us

In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance to individuals with diverse needs, promoting independence, comfort, and well-being in their own homes. Whether supporting seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those recovering from illness, your efforts will foster a safe and nurturing environment that encourages dignity and quality of life. Responsibilities Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts or transfer belts. Support patients with specialized care needs such as Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, memory care, hospice care, catheter care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities. Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and ensuring a safe living environment that meets health standards. Document patient progress and communicate effectively with healthcare teams regarding changes in condition or care plans. Utilize medical terminology confidently when recording observations or communicating with medical professionals to ensure clarity and accuracy. Skills Proven experience in home health care or long-term care environments with knowledge of medical procedures and documentation practices. Strong patient observation skills to detect changes in condition promptly and accurately. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in assisted living settings is highly valued.
