Responsibilities

As a Private Duty Certified Nursing Assistant, You will:    

  • Provide patient-centered care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse 
  • Complete proper documentation using HomeCare HomeBase EMR
  • Assist clients with either personal care or home management tasks 
  • This would include assistance with basic personal hygiene and grooming, feeding and ambulation, medical monitoring, and other basic health care related tasks 
  • Home Management includes tasks that include basic housekeeping, shopping and other related housekeeping tasks 

Qualifications

  • Minimum age requirements are 18 years 
  • Valid driver's license, with satisfactory driving record, as defined by agency policy 
  • Certification, if required by state licensure as a CNA or Home Health Care Aide in the state in which the aide is to provide care 
  • Must be able to utilize proper body mechanics while lifting and may be expected to lift up 75 lbs.; must be able to sit, stand, and walk for periods of time and bend, stoop, push, pull, and reach

An associate should perform all duties as assigned by his her supervisor. Education and Experience High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required. Proof of completing an approved Certified Nursing Assistant program is required. Six months experience in working independently with clients in the general public in their own personal homes providing healthcare/homecare services is preferred. Certifications, Licenses, and other Special Requirements Successful completion of State C.N.A. course. Must maintain CNA certification. Reliable transportation is required. Must have a valid state identification card, with a valid driver’s license being preferred. Must have working knowledge of facility emergency procedures including fire and disaster drills. Ability to follow facility policies.
