This position will be an inpatient position. Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner - Acute Care CPNP-AC or Physician Assistant PA Prior APP Experience Strongly Preferred KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Obtains and documents a health history; performs and documents complete, system-focused, or symptom-specific physical examination, assessment and plan of care. Medicine Stepdown- Although our patient population serves adults, we are located on the 14th floor of Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. The environment on our unit is friendly, focused on teamwork, and flexible to accommodate our patients’ needs. We care for adult patients 18 and older who are being treated for various medical diagnoses. These diagnoses cover a wide range of disease processes, including pulmonary, renal, hepatology, endocrine, and post-procedural patients. Some of our patient population requires knowledge of wound care, as well as care of patients on some continuous medication drips, including insulin. NEW - “Effective November 18th select units at Vanderbilt University Hospital will receive a premium night shift differential of $10/hour on top of our newly adjusted hourly wages. The Licensed Practical Nurse in Home Health is responsible for providing quality patient care and performing technical skilled care in the patient's home. Total cash compensation includes earnings from per visit point pay and hourly pay and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role. This role receives two types of compensation depending on the work being performed. When conducting visits, you will be paid per visit point rate compensation. Your per visit pay will be calculated by multiplying your per visit point rate by the productivity points you accrue for various types of visits. Each type of visit is assigned a certain number of productivity points that is inclusive of "direct" and "indirect" patient care activities. Visits are assigned based on patient and business needs. The number of visits performed each week will vary based on individual productivity targets and the productivity points assigned to the visits performed. You will be paid your hourly rate for certain non-visit activities such as orientation. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable. Implement plan of care consistently, effectively and cost efficiently with focus on resident centered outcomes. Work in collaboration with physician and/or other health care professionals by sharing information relevant to changing plan of care. Deliver and maintain optimum resident care and comfort by demonstrating knowledge and skills of current nursing practices. Will supervise and coordinate Charge, Treatment and CNA assignments and activities in an assigned unit and shift. Will ensure timely communication of current treatment and assessment information, efficient delivery of services and timely compilation of new information. Will monitor and evaluate staff activities to ensure that nursing care is carried out as directed, and treatment administered in accordance with treatment plans and physicians instructions.
