Nurse Supervisor – Residential Behavioral Health

Telecare Bend Programs #206, #207 & #208 | Bend, Oregon | Full-Time

Lead Nursing Care Across Three Behavioral Health Programs in Bend

If you are an experienced RN who loves behavioral health but is ready for something different from traditional hospital nursing, this may be the opportunity you have been looking for.

Telecare is seeking a Nurse Supervisor to provide nursing leadership and clinical support across three of our residential behavioral health programs in beautiful Bend, Oregon:

  • Edgecliff Residential Treatment House #206

  • 12th Street House #207

  • Deschutes Recovery Center #208

Together, these programs provide recovery-focused residential services for adults living with serious mental illness, including individuals transitioning from higher levels of care toward greater stability and independence.

This is an opportunity to combine psychiatric nursing, leadership, education, care coordination, and recovery-focused treatment in smaller, community-based residential settings.

Why RNs May Love This Role

  • Leadership opportunity outside of a traditional hospital environment

  • Work within smaller, recovery-focused behavioral health programs

  • Support multiple levels of residential behavioral health care

  • Build meaningful, longer-term relationships with residents

  • Partner closely with interdisciplinary program leadership and treatment teams

  • Blend clinical nursing with supervision, education, consultation, and quality oversight

  • Help residents successfully transition toward greater independence

  • Make an impact across three established Telecare programs in the Bend community

  • Ideal for an experienced behavioral health RN ready to move into or continue growing in nursing leadership

A structured on-call rotation is part of the leadership role. Rotations are scheduled in advance, and employees remain available to respond to program needs during their assigned rotation.

Compensation

Expected starting salary: $118,995.46–$134,000.00 annually

Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

About Our Bend Programs

Telecare operates three residential behavioral health programs in Bend, each designed to help adults living with serious mental illness build stability, strengthen recovery skills, and progress toward greater independence.

Edgecliff Residential Treatment House #206 is a five-bed residential program providing a stable, recovery-focused home environment for adults who need 24-hour supervision or support as they work toward more independent living.

12th Street House #207 is a five-bed residential program supporting adults who benefit from 24-hour supervision and psychiatric recovery assistance while preparing for greater independence.

Deschutes Recovery Center #208 is a 16-bed residential treatment program providing a safe, structured environment for adults with serious mental illness, including individuals transitioning from the Oregon State Hospital or other secure settings into community-based care.

Across all three programs, our goal is to help residents strengthen recovery, increase independence, reduce unnecessary hospitalization, and successfully live within their communities.

What You’ll Do

As the Nurse Supervisor, you will provide nursing leadership, clinical oversight, consultation, and support across Telecare’s Bend residential programs. Responsibilities may include:

  • Provide nursing supervision, coaching, and clinical leadership

  • Partner with Administrators, clinical leaders, prescribers, and multidisciplinary treatment teams

  • Support nursing services and clinical operations across the Bend programs

  • Provide nursing assessments, interventions, medication oversight, and administration as needed

  • Support residents with education regarding medications, physical health, side effects, wellness, and recovery

  • Oversee medication-management and infection-control practices

  • Promote safe, consistent, high-quality nursing practices

  • Help ensure nursing services meet applicable state, federal, licensing, contractual, and organizational requirements

  • Participate in treatment planning and interdisciplinary team meetings

  • Build therapeutic relationships with residents receiving behavioral health services

  • Provide nursing consultation and education to program staff

  • Support quality-improvement, risk-reduction, and resident-safety initiatives

  • Coordinate with outside healthcare providers, pharmacies, hospitals, and community resources

  • Provide coaching, feedback, performance support, and professional development to nursing staff

  • Partner with program leadership regarding staffing, nursing operations, clinical quality, and emerging needs

  • Help support continuity of care as residents transition between levels of treatment and community living

  • Participate in a scheduled leadership on-call rotation

A Different Kind of Behavioral Health Nursing

Residential behavioral health gives nurses an opportunity to see recovery beyond the walls of an acute hospital.

Our Bend programs serve individuals who may be transitioning from hospitals, secure treatment settings, or other higher levels of care. Rather than focusing primarily on short-term stabilization, our teams help residents develop the skills, confidence, health practices, and support systems needed to move toward greater independence.

For an RN coming from inpatient psychiatric nursing, this can be an opportunity to use your behavioral health expertise in a different way — with greater continuity, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the ability to see the longer-term impact of your work.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following education and experience combinations:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with two (2) years of psychiatric nursing experience; OR

  • Master’s degree in Nursing with one (1) year of psychiatric nursing experience

Candidates must also have:

  • At least one (1) year of supervisory experience

  • Current Registered Nurse license to practice in Oregon

  • Ability to meet applicable driving requirements

  • Minimum age of 18

CPR, BLS AHA, and CPI certification requirements must be met on the date of employment or prior to providing direct client care and maintained throughout employment.

All employment opportunities at Telecare are contingent upon successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of applicable post-offer requirements, which may include physical examination, tuberculosis screening, criminal background clearances, excluded-party sanctions checks, and degree or license verification.

Positions requiring driving also require a valid driver’s license, acceptable motor vehicle record, and proof of auto insurance at the time of employment and throughout employment. Additional regulatory, contractual, or local requirements may apply.

Skills That Will Help You Thrive

We are looking for a nurse leader who brings:

  • Strong psychiatric and behavioral health nursing judgment

  • A collaborative, supportive leadership style

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong organization and attention to detail

  • Confidence making independent clinical decisions

  • Ability to prioritize needs across multiple programs

  • Flexibility and adaptability in residential behavioral health settings

  • Ability to coach, develop, and support nursing staff

  • Comfort working with individuals experiencing complex behavioral and physical health needs

  • Strong interdisciplinary partnership skills

  • Commitment to recovery-oriented, person-centered care

Build a Career — and a Life — in Bend

If you enjoy psychiatric nursing but are ready for a leadership opportunity outside of a traditional hospital environment, Telecare’s Bend programs offer the chance to use your expertise across three unique residential behavioral health settings.

Help individuals move from higher levels of care toward stability, independence, and life in the community — while helping strengthen nursing services across Telecare’s Bend programs.
