We are seeking compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team on our busy PM shift (3pm to 11pm). As a CNA with Serenity Estates of Lincolnshire, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents. All shifts include rotating weekends and rotating holidays.

Overview:

As a CNA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed nurse to provide direct care to residents, including:

  • Assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming

  • Monitoring vital signs and reporting changes to the nursing team

  • Assisting with transfers and ambulation and feeding

  • Providing emotional support and companionship to our residents

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional care to residents, adhering to established standards and policies

  • Maintain accurate and timely records of resident care and services

  • Work effectively as part of a team to ensure the delivery of high-quality care

  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry standards and best practices

Requirements:

  • Must be a certified nursing assistant (CNA) in the state of Illinois

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in long-term care or a related field

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • CPR certified.

  • Exceptional customer service and teamwork attitudes!

Certified Nursing Assistant Summary/Objective In keeping with our organization’s goal of improving the lives of the Guests we serve, the Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) plays a critical role in providing superior customer service and nursing care to all Guests. The C.N.A. safeguards the health, safety and welfare of all Guests under their care by following applicable laws, regulations, and established nursing policies and procedures. Essential Functions 1. Provides quality nursing care to Guests in an environment that promotes their rights, dignity and freedom of choice. 2. Provides individualized attention, which encourages each Guest’s ability to maintain or attain the highest practical physical, mental and psychosocial well-being. 3. Carry out assignments required for the Guest’s activities of daily living (ADL’s) which include but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding. 4. Attends to individual needs of all Guests in regards to incontinent care, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communication and other needs. 5. Provides care that maintains each Guest’s skin integrity to prevent pressure ulcers, skin tears and other damage by changing incontinent Guests, turning, repositioning immobile Guests and by applying moisturizers to fragile skin and other areas. 6. Performs various tasks assigned by the floor nurse including checking vital signs, weighing Guests, applying creams/ointments and collecting specimens. 7. Must be knowledgeable of individual care plans and support the care planning process by providing supervisors with specific information and observations of the Guest’s needs, preferences and report any behavioral changes. 8. Assists the Wound Care Nurse as directed. 9. Completes medical records documenting care provided and other information in accordance with nursing policies while maintaining strict confidentiality. 10. Must answer and respond to call lights promptly and courteously. 11. Assist with new admissions, re-admissions and assist with the transfer of Guests to different rooms within the facility. 12. Communicates and interacts effectively and tactfully with Guests, visitors, families, peers and supervisors. 13. Attend and participate in departmental meetings and in-services as directed.
