POSITION OVERVIEW

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in our Memory Care Neighborhood provides compassionate, person-centered care to seniors living with dementia and memory-related conditions in a specialized care setting. Working under the direction of licensed nursing staff, this role assists residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), supports safety and emotional well-being, and delivers hands-on caregiving that promotes dignity, independence, and quality of life. The CNA utilizes dementia care best practices, observes and reports changes in resident condition, and helps create a structured, engaging, and supportive environment for residents and families.

Key Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, person-centered care through dementia-informed practices to support the residents' dignity, independence, and quality of life.
Deliver hands-on personal resident care, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and dining support.
Monitor residents for changes in physical, cognitive, behavioral, and emotional well-being.
Utilize dementia-focused communication techniques and individualized care approaches to support residents living with dementia and other memory-related conditions.
Collaborate with nurses, caregivers, residents, and families to provide exceptional care and ensure continuity of services.

Qualifications

Active and unencumbered CNA certification as required by the state of practice.
0-1 Years of relevant experience preferred.
Previous caregiving, hospitality, customer service, senior living, healthcare, memory care, or related experience preferred.
Must be willing and able to complete the Trilogy Legacy Dementia Education Program during orientation and annually thereafter, as well as maintain competency validation.
