Step into a meaningful contract position supporting students with complex medical needs during their bus rides to and from school. This opportunity involves providing skilled nursing care for a dedicated morning route, working approximately 7.5 hours per week throughout the school year. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of several students, including those requiring g-tube care, seizure monitoring, respiratory support, and management of allergies while in transit.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current, active RN or LPN license in Massachusetts
  • At least one year of relevant experience in school nursing or pediatric nursing
  • Demonstrated ability to care for children and young adults with medically complex conditions
  • Confidence in providing interventions such as g-tube management, seizure response (including Valtoco administration), oral suctioning, and oxygen monitoring
  • Strong communication skills and professionalism for collaborating with school staff and families
  • Reliable transportation and punctuality for early morning shifts (6:15 AM pickup)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Meet students at the designated education center each morning for pick-up
  • Monitor and provide direct medical care, including emergency interventions as required, during bus transport
  • Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and observations made during the route
  • Communicate any urgent health concerns with appropriate school personnel and healthcare providers
  • Ensure all equipment (such as oxygen and suction devices) is available and functioning for each student's needs
