    • Transition position provides guided orientation to help integrate and apply medical knowledge and sharpen technical skills for newly graduated Registered Nurses. Accountable for utilizing the nursing process to provide safe, age-appropriate, direct and indirect patient care, while practicing within the scope of practice of the Oregon State Board of Nursing.

    DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
    • The LDRP team offers labor, delivery and recovery including post partum and newborn care by a highly trained team of nurses and medical staff in a family centered caring and medically safe environment. All sites are trained in GYN surgical care, while AGH practices pediatrics as well.

    EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
    • Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required.
    • Healthcare Provider Level BLS required upon hire.
    • AGH LDRP:
      • Graduate of an accredited nursing school program required (must be within the previous 12 months of the SHS New Graduate RN Program start date).
      • ACLS and PALS required within 90 days of hire.
      • NRP and STABLE required within six (6) months of hire.

    • Social Perceptiveness: Ability to work with a diverse population from pediatrics to geriatrics. Basic understanding of age-related differences in caring for and/or communicating with patients and caregivers.
