Job Details
It is the responsibility of the registered nurse in the Radiology Department to ensure that all patients are assessed, evaluated, and monitored during all radiology procedures. The incumbent is guided by a comprehensive knowledge of current nursing theory and practice; knowledge of organization and departmental functions; policies, regulations, and procedures of the institution; knowledge and application of principles of nursing.
REGISTERED NURSE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide specialized nursing care in Radiology, prioritizing patient safety, advocacy, and clinical needs.
- Assess and monitor patients, including vital signs and ECGs; administer medications, contrast, and conscious sedation as indicated.
- Recognize and respond to contrast reactions and other complications, providing timely interventions and documentation.
- Assist radiologists with complex procedures and safely operate specialized monitoring and life-support equipment
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Cath Lab, cardiac diagnostics, cardiac imaging, telemetry, critical care, or other cardiovascular nursing experience required
- Experience providing nursing care in a procedural setting, including patient assessment, monitoring, and coordination of pre- and post-procedure care preferred
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Current New York State RN License required.
- BLS/ACLS certifications required.
Salary Range
USD $55.13 - USD $64.36 /Hr.
This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
