Urgent Care Hours:

Monday - Friday: 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM

Saturday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Sunday: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Job Summary:

Fulton County Health Center is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our FCHC Urgent Care team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients by performing assessments, diagnosing conditions, and prescribing treatments within their scope of practice.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Screen patients to determine their need for medical attention.
  • Perform history taking and problem-focused physical exams.
  • Conduct pre-operative full physical exams.
  • Diagnose orthopedic conditions.
  • Record data in the patient electronic medical record.
  • Assign durable medical equipment and refer for physical therapy as needed.
  • Perform injections, strapping, splinting, and casting for sprains and fractures, as well as remove such devices.
  • Provide general wound care, including dressing and bandage application.
  • Conduct pre-operative counseling as needed.
  • Prescribe narcotic and non-narcotic pain medications, anti-inflammatories, and anti-infectives when appropriate.
  • Order and perform appropriate laboratory or diagnostic procedures such as X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and bone scans.
  • Interpret laboratory results as well as diagnostic imaging results.

Requirements

  • Nurse Practitioner (NP): Registered Nurse with certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Physician Assistant (PA): Physician Assistant Certificate.
  • Must hold an active State of Ohio license.
  • CPR Certification required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification required.
