Balmoral Nursing Home is seeking compassionate and dependable Restorative Aides to join our nursing team. Restorative Aides play an important role in helping residents maintain and improve their mobility, independence, and overall quality of life through individualized restorative nursing programs.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with restorative nursing programs designed to maintain or improve mobility, strength, range of motion, and independence
Perform restorative exercises and activities as directed by the nursing team and established care plans
Assist residents with walking, transfers, positioning, and mobility exercises
Provide active and passive range-of-motion exercises as assigned and within training and scope of practice
Encourage residents to participate in restorative programs and activities
Assist residents with activities of daily living while promoting independence and self-care
Support residents with the proper use of walkers, wheelchairs, and other assistive devices
Observe and report changes in residents' physical abilities, tolerance, or condition to the nurse
Monitor resident participation and progress toward restorative goals
Accurately document restorative services, resident participation, and progress
Communicate with nursing staff, therapy personnel, and other interdisciplinary team members regarding resident needs and progress
Follow established restorative care plans, infection-control procedures, and safety guidelines
Maintain resident privacy, dignity, and confidentiality
Assist with routine CNA duties and resident care as assigned
Perform additional restorative and resident-care duties as needed

Qualifications

Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the State of Illinois
Previous experience in restorative nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred
Knowledge of restorative nursing techniques, mobility assistance, and range-of-motion exercises preferred
Compassionate, patient, and dependable approach to resident care
Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
Ability to follow individualized care plans and nursing instructions
Ability to safely assist residents with mobility, transfers, and restorative exercises
Ability to work effectively with residents who have varying physical and functional limitations
Must meet applicable health and background requirements

Schedule

Full-time and part-time opportunities may be available
Schedule and shift assignments based on facility needs
Weekend and holiday availability may be required
