About the Role:

As a Companionship Caregiver (Part-time) with SYNERGY HomeCare of Kinston, you will provide non-medical companionship and personal care services to clients in their homes in Newport, North Carolina. Your role will involve:

• Providing emotional support and companionship to clients through engaging activities, conversation, and social interaction
• Assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Accompanying clients to appointments, social events, and other activities
• Maintaining a safe and clean environment for clients
• Reporting any changes or concerns to the care coordination team

Responsibilities:

• Develop strong relationships with clients and their families through compassionate care and effective communication
• Maintain accurate records of client care and services provided
• Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with industry best practices and company policies
• Collaborate with the care coordination team to ensure seamless service delivery
• Demonstrate respect, empathy, and a patient-centered approach in all interactions

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in healthcare, social work, or a related field preferred
Ability to lift, bend, and move around safely, with or without reasonable accommodations
Reliable transportation and valid driver's license (if applicable)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Compassionate and empathetic approach to client care
