This is a full-time, contract position starting as soon as possible, with your dedication needed through June 10, 2027. Your commitment will help empower a student to thrive in school, while ensuring their health and safety are always prioritized.

Key Qualifications:

Current, active LPN license in Pennsylvania
Minimum two years of LPN experience, including pediatric and school-based nursing
Previous experience supporting children in similar 1:1 settings
Reliable attendance and professional demeanor
Ability to secure all required Pennsylvania clearances
Reliable personal transportation
Comfortable working in an urban educational environment
Willingness to attend a virtual (Zoom) interview

Role Highlights:

Provide vigilant 1:1 nursing care and seizure monitoring according to a prescribed plan
Accompany a student to and from school, riding the van between Brookhaven and Media each weekday (pick-up between 8:00-8:10AM, school ends at 2:30PM)
Ensure immediate and appropriate intervention during and after seizure episodes, document all pertinent details in a daily log
Supervise and assist with toileting, incontinence, and hygiene following seizures; provide verbal prompts and help as needed
Offer minor meal-time support (e.g., opening food packages)
Collaborate seamlessly with paraprofessional support and school staff, fostering a positive, safe school experience
