Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, transferring. Assisting with the use of devices for aid in daily living (cane, walker, wheelchair or lift device) Coordinating transportation or transporting client(s) to/from appt's, groceries, outings Reporting any changes with client(s) to office staff. Help with light housekeeping tasks to ensure a clean and safe environment. Assisting with Organization Medication Reminders Prepare a home cooked meal - (you don’t need to be a gourmet chef) Provide Companionship: accompany client(s) on walks, trips to social events, assistance with hobbies, or run an errand Reinforcement of dressings (non-sterile) Follow personalized care plans tailored to each client’s needs. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations. Qualifications Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High school degree and/or a G.E.D. certificate Some experience preferred , but not required -e xperience in dementia or memory care is a plus! Read, write, speak and understand English is required Valid driver’s license and use of an insured automobile for work or access to adequate transportation is preferred Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting or assisting with mobility. Assist in all aspects of a resident’s daily life, including activities of daily living, meal service, and social engagement. Qualifications: An active CNA License in good standing. High School Diploma or GED. Willing to take additional training or education, which specific states may require.
