Responsibilities: Maintain a safe and comfortable home environment Take clients on walks, trips to social events or medical appointments, assistance with hobbies, or run an errand Perform light housekeeping Performs personal care activities contained in a written assignment by the Supervisor which includes but is not limited to, assisting the client with activities of daily living, such as: · Personal hygiene (assisting to bathroom or in using bedpan, bathing, care of mouth, skin and hair) · Ambulation · Eating · Dressing · Shaving · Meal Preparation (No worries - you don’t need to be a gourmet chef) Maintain accurate care records Communicate with the care team Working Environment: Primarily works in client’s place of residence; travel may be required. Assist in all aspects of a resident’s daily life, including activities of daily living, meal service, and social engagement. Appropriately communicate with branch clinical leadership when a resident’s needs change. Knowledge of how to approach and care for residents with dementia. Qualifications: An active CNA License in good standing. High School Diploma or GED. Willing to take additional training or education, which specific states may require. CPR and First Aid certifications are required. Ability to handle multiple priorities. Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication. Competent in organizational and time management skills.
