Summary: Serves as Nursing Assistant in a skilled nursing facility. Responsibilities: 1. Performs activities of daily living for or with residents/patients. 2. Provides transport for residents/patients to designated areas within the facility. 3. Changes bed linens, runs errands, directs visitors, and answers telephone. 4. Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output, as directed. 5. Provides for resident/patient safety, comfort and privacy when performing responsibilities. 6. Communicates pertinent resident/patient information to appropriate person(s). 7. Abides by all infection control regulations. 8. Completes annual Rehabilitation and Nursing competencies successfully. 9. Completes 12 hours of in-service education annually. 10. Answers call bells, alarms, or intercom system for any resident or patient to determine residents'/patients' needs. Job Description The Medication Technician @ Woodland Terrace is responsible for the delivery of quality care by encouraging independence and ensuring each resident’s physical, social, cultural, and intellectual well-being. **Must have a PCA or CNA in addition to Medication Technician certification** Schedule: Full Time - 7a-7p Pay Rate $20-$21 *varies based on certification / experience **Position is in Memory Care Paid Vacation / Sick Time / 7 Paid Holidays Excellent - Medical / Dental / Vision Benefits / 401K Free Meal each shift PCA: must be able to provide certificate of completion for 80 hour training course CNA: must be licensed in North Carolina verifiable through online registry MT: must be a licensed Medication Aide verifiable through online registry What will I do every day? Assist residents with simple requests as needed Supervise or assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, ambulation and other activities Provide companionship and develop strong resident relations Respond to emergencies according to policies and procedures Document care provided to residents consistent Provide input to assure that resident individual service plans are current Review 24 hour report and care check lists regularly What will I need to be successful in this role?
