Scope Of Position Provide general patient care following standardized procedures that do not require state licensure for assigned unit, under the direction of an RN, according to the assigned patient population. Primary patient procedures may include ADL's, nutritional support, vital signs and phlebotomy. Responsibilities Under the direction of an RN, perform selected tasks and activities to obtain and report information to assist the nurse in the assessment, planning and evaluation of patient needs, treatment and response to treatment. Under the direction of an RN, perform selected patient related activities, diagnostic testing and therapeutic treatments which contribute to safe and efficient delivery of patient care.
