This examination is administered by the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC). The Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) credential is awarded upon successful completion of the examination. IV. Required education for the department will be paid. This includes but not limited to the Nursing Oncology Orientation Bundle, the Biotherapy / Chemotherapy Certificate course and the ONCC Oncology Certified Nurse credential. V. A monetary bonus will be paid upon successfully obtaining the OCN credential. VI. This is an annual CBL that describes the difference in a swing bed patient versus an in-patient or observation patient. The RN will understand the documentation differences and the specific care required for each individual swing bed patient. Bronson South Haven Hospital and Bronson Lakeview Hospital employees who are approved to work in a Swing Bed Facility only: Employees may be expected to cover shifts at Bronson Lakeview Hospital and/or Bronson South Haven Hospital depending on patient acuity and staffing needs. Virtual Registered Nurse (VRN) Role: The virtual registered nurse leverages technology to deliver patient care remotely, collaborating with bedside staff and the broader care team to ensure quality outcomes and timely discharge. Core responsibilities include, but not limited to: Conducting admission screening, patient/family education, discharge planning, and medication dual acknowledgments via secure digital platforms. Completing diagnostic testing questionnaires and supporting patient safety initiatives. Mentoring and supporting nursing staff and facilitating patient progression toward discharge using electronic health record (EHR) tools such as checklists and clinical pathways.
