Overview To assist the physician with patient care in the medical office setting. Qualifications Education: A high school diploma or GED preferred Experience: One (1) year of previous experience in a medical office setting preferred Licenses/Certificates: Medical Assistant Certification required. BLS Certification required within 30 days of hire Overview Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation; responsible for directing, coordinating all nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices; collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. The LPN/MA will also assist with clerical duties as assigned in order to support a collaborative team.
