Performs venipuncture, accesses implanted ports and maintains central venous access devices and alternate delivering systems Maintains efficient and appropriate patient flow Phone triage as assigned Documents all elements of care Serves as a resource to the Medical Assistants Communicates all pertinent information and any interventions to the physician or advanced practice provider Assesses patient and family needs Qualifications Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education required; BSN preferred Oncology experience strongly preferred Current RN state license required Current BCLS certification required OCN certification preferred Must be willing to travel between offices as needed WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
