The Pediatric Group PRN / As Scheduled Summary Of Position The Registered Nurse performs assessment, planning, intervention, coordination, and evaluation of patient care. Nature and Scope The Registered Nurse functions independently within the limits of his/her license and training while contributing to the assessment, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Qualifications Successful completion of a licensed nursing program. Maintains current nursing license in the State of Ohio with completion of CNE requirements. Prior experience in an ambulatory health care facility preferred. Ability to learn related center tasks and be of assistance to management and physicians. Self-motivated to achieve the highest patient care and customer service standards. Familiarity with the EPIC EMR is strongly preferred. CPR certified within the first 3 months of employment. Thorough understanding of HIPAA law. AMBULATORY SURGERY STATUS: SUPPORT SHIFT: DAYS HOURS PER PAY: 8 Practices professional nursing care in an autonomous manner supported by evidenced-based practice, professional standards of care, and code of ethics. Provides care for patients across the life span in a manner sensitive to social and cultural diversity. The Registered Nurse manages the nursing care in an interdisciplinary manner, in collaboration with the healthcare team, family, and significant other. Integrates the Collaborative Model of Care with a strong focus on patient center care into daily practice. BSN preferred. Current Ohio RN licensure in good standing Has practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last 3 years CPR certification Ability to read and communicate effectively Strong interpersonal skills Critical thinking skills Medical/surgical experience required Ambulatory and Endoscopy experience preferred
