Insure sterile technique, instrument cleaning and sterilization, proper use of the autoclave. Schedule and coordinate necessary records for ancillary care for patients. Assist providers with exams and testing (pelvic exams, eye irrigations and ear irrigations, I & D’s and splinting/ ortho-glass preparation Perform occupational medicine testing such as: urine drug screens, breath alcohol testing, audiogram, and DOT physicals Maintain confidentiality with all patient information (HIPAA). Ensures equipment is in working order. Reports equipment malfunctions to manager. Logs laboratory procedures completed. Processes related paperwork using computer equipment as directed. Responsible for patient call backs, scheduling physician referrals; specialist’s referrals and pharmacy issues; and patient’s education. Maintains examination rooms, sterilization of equipment and stocks necessary medical supplies. Performs duties to ensure good patient flow. Registration duties: explain to patients' accepted insurances and those out of network and knowledgeable of all pricing. Properly collect and record payments, complete registration screen in a timely manner. Travel to care centers within designated region Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal information Cleans and stocks the site with other members of the team Training other team members.
